We celebrate 2nd Advent here in Sweden and it’s time for another comment lottery. Each comment (one per person, and before next sunday) to this blog entry is one lottery ticket! You can win the lovely Filiona Angel (see below)….

It’s my turn to blog a card and I’d like to show this card that I’ve made for StampARTic’s challenge where you are supposed to make a card without any patterned paper. Simple! :) I’ve used a white paper and lots of stamping-fu. First the finished result and then the explanation.

Material: White paper. Angel from Filiona. Star spot from Tingtura Journaling #2. Lots of star stampls from Urban Stars (mainly the star texture). JulKram! from Filiona. Blue distress pad and refill (Faded Jeans). Waterproof black stamp pad. I’m sure you can find the pads at one of our retailers.

First we stamp the angel in black in the middle of the paper. Then we stamp the angel again on a post-it note. I’ve cut the postit-angel with a little margin and then put it over the angel on the card (this is whats called to mask something)

Now we stamp the journaling star on a piece of paper. I stamped twice and cut out another mask. Now it’s play time :D

The cut out journaling star mask (*phew*) is now placed on the card and we stamp away with the star texture. Remember to load the stamp full with ink from the pad and stamp several times to get that lovely faded effect. Some stars are stronger blue while some are more faded this way. Like a stary sky :)

We also load the sponge (did I forget to mention that among the materials above? oops) with ink from the pad and dab along the edge of the mask. This might take a bit practice so play around a little. Move the mask and repeat! :D

To finish the card I’ve stamped the Star once and then JulKram in blue, since I thought that it might look nice (and I thought it did turn out ok to). It doesn’t show well in the photo but I dabbed a couple of times with the text stamp around the stamped text to get the same faded feel on the text to match the stars.

Now we remove the postit-angel and color it with distress ink. I’ve just gone around the edges with blue and then drawn the color with a wet brush to get that nice faded effect (again?! he likes fading doesn’t he?!). The angel wings get some glitter and the eyes get a little 3D glaze.

Whadya think?

And this is when I have to mention that as a member of the Tingtura Club you can buy the journaling star at half price right now! ;) *hint hint*
