Its time for a new sketch of the week and blog candy winner! I hope you are inspired by this sketch below and our stamps.

(editors note: We publish a new sketch every monday in our swedish blog as well as layouts and cards every day, but we are unfortunately not very good at making sure the same material pop up in the english blog. If you come here and don’t find anything new I hope you are brave to enter our swedish blog and have a look there. And remember that our webshop accepts PayPal and ships worldwide…)

So this is my sketch. I hope you like it. I was inspired to do a card and using the sketch in a little different way. A very free interpretation one could say :) The circles represents the squares in the sketch.

I’ve used word texture, star texture rectangle, grunge edge and splatter texture rectangle for the background. I’ve then embossed circle large, circle medium and circle smallest with embossing powder Orange ya happy. The spotted splattery effect with the embossing is attained by pouring the powder on to the card before all stamp colors have dried completely when doing the background.

I hope you like the sketch and my card! If you are inspired please post a comment with a link to your creations or email us so we can have a look.

Monday means new sketch!

This one is an old one from my sketch book. I hope it will inspire you.

I’ve also made a card and LO inspired by the sketch.

I turned the sketch and interpreted it a little different for the card. I used the stamps Mother and sleeping baby, Prinsessa (swedish text) and one of the small words (swedish). I colored the mother and child with distress ink and the eyes got a little black Sakura Glaze.

On the layout I used Large Circle and Circle Medium from Urban Sky, Rectangle Journalingspot from Journaling #2 and the square från Swirls #1. If you want to see more photos of how the LO was made then hop over to one of Swedens largest blogs caled Scrappizbloggen were I was invited to write a little about how my creation process looks like. If you don’t speak swedish then just look at the photos :)
