Its time for a new sketch of the week and blog candy winner! I hope you are inspired by this sketch below and our stamps.

(editors note: We publish a new sketch every monday in our swedish blog as well as layouts and cards every day, but we are unfortunately not very good at making sure the same material pop up in the english blog. If you come here and don’t find anything new I hope you are brave to enter our swedish blog and have a look there. And remember that our webshop accepts PayPal and ships worldwide…)

So this is my sketch. I hope you like it. I was inspired to do a card and using the sketch in a little different way. A very free interpretation one could say :) The circles represents the squares in the sketch.

I’ve used word texture, star texture rectangle, grunge edge and splatter texture rectangle for the background. I’ve then embossed circle large, circle medium and circle smallest with embossing powder Orange ya happy. The spotted splattery effect with the embossing is attained by pouring the powder on to the card before all stamp colors have dried completely when doing the background.

I hope you like the sketch and my card! If you are inspired please post a comment with a link to your creations or email us so we can have a look.

And on to revealing the winner of the very popular blog candy!

Already a new month and time for another challenge!

This is what you’re gonna do:

- Create something inspired by the sketch
- Use at least one stamp from Tingtura (no other material limits)
- Send your contribution (one per person) to challenge@tingtura.se latest 30 of April

The winner gets a gift voucher worth 100 SEK!

Here are two interpretations of the sketch:

For this layout I made my own background using Dots several times with a watermark stamp pad and then embossed with clear powder. The journaling spot is Scallop Small and I stamped it with StazOn on a piece of clear plastic. The red hearts will soon appear in the webshop too.

For the card I used one of our big sellers Girl hugging Heart and she is colored with distress ink. On the big flower I stamped Bubbel wrap Medium and on the small flower its Dotted circle small. Then I sprayed them with a few different mists. Stamping and spraying flowers is such a simple technique and it gives them so much more life! We have lots of texture stamps you should try this with.

It’s monday again and time for a new sketch! Hope it will inspire you :)

I’ve made a layout and a card inspired by the sketch

On the layout I’ve used Lined Rectangle Spot och fish from Maja’s Friends.

For the card I used Bunny buddies from Filiona and some of our swedish text stamps (du är söt = you are cute). The bunnies are colored with ProMarkers. The blue bunny is a little embarassed by what the pink bunny is saying so it got a little pink dry chalk on it’s cheak. :)

Last week Sofie was one of many who was inspired by our sketch and sent a photo of her creation to us. Isn’t it a beautiful card?

If you make something inspired by the sketch please send it to us at sketch@tingtura.se or show it on our message board.

Monday means new sketch!

This one is an old one from my sketch book. I hope it will inspire you.

I’ve also made a card and LO inspired by the sketch.

I turned the sketch and interpreted it a little different for the card. I used the stamps Mother and sleeping baby, Prinsessa (swedish text) and one of the small words (swedish). I colored the mother and child with distress ink and the eyes got a little black Sakura Glaze.

On the layout I used Large Circle and Circle Medium from Urban Sky, Rectangle Journalingspot from Journaling #2 and the square från Swirls #1. If you want to see more photos of how the LO was made then hop over to one of Swedens largest blogs caled Scrappizbloggen were I was invited to write a little about how my creation process looks like. If you don’t speak swedish then just look at the photos :)

New week and new sketch!

While cleaning the work area I went through a pile of old inspirational material that I’ve collected. I found a couple of “old” sketches that I thought I’d share. So todays and this weeks sketch is from 2007. I hope it’ll inspire anyway :)

Foto means photo and Titel means Title.

I’ve also made a LO inspired by the sketch. I’ve used Three flowers and the Christmas frog whom I gave a new non-Christmasy look :)

MONTHLY CHALLENGE

Since it’s a new month it’s also time for a new challenge. We always like our international contributions and hope this will challenge you too. The contest is a materials challenge. Below is a list of five decorations. Choose one in the list which you use on your LO or card. The other four are NOT allowed!

- Use one of the decoration types above and none of the other four.

Do this and you have the chance of winning a gift voucher worth 150 SEK!

Can you imagine that it’s already week 1! (Hmm… do you do this in other countries? Here in Sweden we number the weeks of the year from 1 to 52 hence the numbering of the sketches in the blog)

New week and new sketch this time from Linda in our Design Team (FOTO = photo and TITEL = title).

I’ve made a card and a layout inspired by the sketch.

First the card. The text says “gott nytt år” which means “happy new year”. The letters are painted with 3D Crystal Lacquer. First I’ve stamped the Star Texture in the middle with a Watermark pad then heated with the heat gun. Then I’ve stamped with Large Circle and Circle medium with the same watermark pad but before heating I’ve added some lovely black and sparkly embossing powder. So sparkly!

Now the layout. I’ve used Dotted Circle and yellow acrylic paint. Inspired by all the dandelions in the photos. I’ve also used the Striped Scallop Spot on a piece of white paper, cut out around and inside to make a frame. So simple yet pretty nice if I may say so myself.

I hope you’ve been inspired!

Don’t forget to send in your contributions to this months challenge! Only a few days left.

Can you imagine that it’s already week 50?! Soon Christmas and a New Year! :D But it’s also Monday and time for a new sketch and some inspiration.

This sketch can become cards and layouts. Here is a card from Julia in our Design Team and a layout from me. Both inspired from the sketch of course.

Julia has used one of the new Majaroni Christmas stamps: Monster Opening Package. I’ve used the journaling spot “Du Är” (means “You are”) and Wavy Dots from Urban Textures.
