I love spring! Where I live, spring is coming along slowly. And I find it so inspiring to here the snow dripping from the roof. So I had to make a spring card and send to a friend, with lovely spring colours and the beautiful Three flowers from Filiona animalfriends. Unfortunally when I looked out the window this morning there was snow all over….again.

the text on the card says: Finally, spring is on it’s way!

Is it spring where you live?

Sometimes I get tired of my work and it feels like I’m doing the same thing over and over. So I try to do something different but usually it still looks the same, so this time I took a couple of steps back. When I started with scrapbooking I often got comments like simple and stylistically pure and I always thought that people found my layouts boring. But now I tried to do a simple page and I really like the result. But it’s hard to learn an old dog new tricks ;) so don’t be suprised if next week I’m showing you a page with lots of decos framing the photo :D

I used Urban Sky Flower and one of my favourite Journaling Lined Rectangle

Last summer one of my boys found these cool straws tucked away in the kitchen. Of course he had to try them and of course I had to take a photo ;) On this layout I used cool from Scrapwords and the beautiful Swirl long I also used it to stamp on the flowers next to the photo.

Here is a small taste of what you can do with a few Urban stamps, some mists/washes and acrylic paint. It is so much fun to play with these Urban stamps!

I have used the following stamps: Flying star small straight, Star swirl long, Flygande stjärna medium, Striped scallop journaling spot and Topplistan (swedish word stamp).

Since our son loves the movie Wall-E at the moment I wanted a space themed lay-out and the different star stamps from the Urban collection was perfect.

This weeks stamps are Girl eating melon, Dots, Swirl 4 and Swirl 2. You will find that they have a lower price than usual in the webshop. You don’t need to wait for a personal email confirmation before paying.

Here are a few examples of how to use these stamps.

I’ve used Dots on the background with a white stamp pad. I’ve also smudged some distress ink onto the white dots around the photo and used the same pad to stamp some swirls. Under the purple flower you see a Swirl 2 as well. Girl eating melon is colored with ProMarkers.

Girl eating melon colored with ProMarkers also on the card. This time the Dots are stamped in a color that match the paper to blend in more.

Here is the sketch of the week! I hope it will inspire.

Here is an LO I’ve made using the sketch.

I’ve used the Bubbly journaling spot, Att minnas (swedish text stamp) and Dotted circle.

A pretty simple card with Hugging Couple colored with distress ink.

Have you been inspired by the sketch? Send us a photo of your creation to and you might end up seeing it here in the blog! :)

It feels like I’m in a flow right now! I’ve created lots of things the last few days. A Cyber Crop and all it’s challenges has helped kick start me of course :D

Here are a few of my creations:

I’ve used lots of Urban stamps but also stamps from Filiona, Majaroni and Maja’s Friends.

This weeks article on sale is The Pirate Captain, and I can’t say it enough - it is my ultimate favourite! It is so usable and that it goes well with skulls is another plus in my eyes. I like that it is so full of detail, and that you don’t see all of it. It is as if you’ve taken a picture where you left part of the motif out on purpose, and it is very catchy.

The stamped image is coloured with Promarkers and highlighted with white Gelly Roll pen. The background too is colored with Promarkers. I usually just leave the background white, but Kicki has inspired me here - even though I have a lot to learn before mine are as pretty as hers.

It was difficult to choose texting on this card, but after some googling, “Ahoy” was the obvious choice. Is there any better pirate word? The letters are cut out with the silhouette and then I put diamond glaze on. The flags are also cut out with the same machine. The Urban stamp Swirl is in the background.

In just a few days, Valentine is here! I’m planning on sending cards to friends and beloved ones just to show them that I think of them and I’m happy they’re in my life. You do this far too seldom, and I think it’s great to have a special day to remind me of this.

Today I will show you one of the cards I’ll send and the stamped image is my new love - Robot with heart! It was love at first sight - the robot really inspires me! I can guarantee that you will se lots of the robot on my cards in the future.

The robot is fastened with two coins and a 3D foam square, which allows the robot to move about in the slit that I cut out using my paper trimmer and craft knife. In the background I’ve used Wavy Beam. The robot is coloured with Promarkers, as always nowadays. You wouldn’t believe that I gave away the first ones I bought because I didn’t like them.

I would love to see what pretty things you create for Valentine’s! Please leave a comment with a link to your blog so we can have a look.
